Action and Adventure Sports Park and Resorts Development Manager

The role and purpose of position:


As part of Extremes Destinations development division, you will play a lead strategic and managerial role in driving specific projects forwards from the initial concept stage through design and planning and across the construction and operations. You will be responsible for the collaborative destination planning and development with partner developers, local and national governments, suppliers and contractors. Reporting to the Managing Director of Extreme Destinations, you will be responsible for managing developments through the various project stages, on a worldwide basis and supporting in the evaluation of project opportunities.




  • Developing and implementing strategies coherent with overall business objectives, capabilities and brand guidelines.

  • Ensuring qualitative development processes and outcomes.

  • Presenting to and negotiating with senior personnel (CEO's/Board Level).

  • Liaise with designers, engineers, architects, business planning team and consultants.

  • Manage resources, budgets, communication and creative assets.

  • Collaborate closely with various departments and associates.

  • Write detailed proposals.

  • Review and analyse project documents, studies and feasibility plans.

  • Negotiate, manage and monitor contracts, evaluate contractor performance and approve or terminate contracts.

  • Work with, consult and provide direction/advice to senior management team and other internal stakeholders.

  • Develop and manage the implementation of the destination with Government, Regional, community and industry stakeholders.

  • Represents EXTREME at meetings and events as appropriate.




  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in development and/or operations of active leisure and entertainment destinations, facilities, resorts or parks;

  • Education in business, tourism or related field or equivalent combination of education/experience.

  • Demonstrate experience in developing and managing program and project budgets and organisational resources to deliver on goals.

  • Demonstrate ability to effectively manage multiple, simultaneous complex issues while still delivering result.

  • Passion, participation, interest and knowledge of action and adventure sports;

  • Confidence at presenting to senior personnel (CEO’s, board level); 

  • Pro-active business development skill set, selling to and presenting to potential partners, writing detailed proposals based on the project and partners requirements;

  • Ability to project manage and liaise with designers, engineers, architects, business planning team and consultants; 




  • Willingness for extensive travel;

  • Have excellent interpersonal skills;

  • Have a strong commitment, responsibility and reliability towards the project, team and company.

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal);

Event Production Manager

EXTREME is a fast moving and entrepreneurial company. We’re growing rapidly and are looking for an experienced, highly pro-active, positive person who wants to join the team to manage event productions with us.


The Role:


You will be capable of handling quantitative and technical duties while also using your eye for design to implement the visual aspects of an event. You will need to manage many different tasks and collaborate with a wide range of teams in order to oversee and deliver each event.


Your responsibilities will include;


  • Coordinate Technical Needs - You will oversee all production and technical aspects of the events, from directing production staff to testing equipment to managing the control room.

  • Create Event Concepts - During the initial stages of the event you will generate concepts, brainstorm ideas and develop a plan for the execution of these ideas.

  • Perform Site Inspections - You will ensure that the venue is adequate and the equipment functions up to standard.

  • Work with Vendors - You will be responsible for contracting vendors and staffing of all sorts, from venues to AV equipment to catering to talent.

  • Manage Budgets - You will be responsible for developing and overseeing event budgets. You will review proposals for cost and profitability throughout the process of contracting vendors and hiring staff and talent, you’re responsible for doing so in a way that aligns with the event budgets. You may also be responsible for securing funding.



Key skills:


  • 5 years of Event experience

  • Background in production

  • Project management skills

  • Management and Supervisory experience

  • Previous Associate Producer experience

  • Knowledge of Extreme Sports Industry

Here’s your opportunity to take your creative talent to the next playing field: EXTREME, a leading sports lifestyle brand, is looking for a graphic design intern to start immediately. You’ll interpret our brand strategy and mission—to be the biggest sports lifestyle brand in the world—in a visual sense with reference to line, colour, and typography. 

You will work closely with the graphic design and marketing teams to create materials for both on- and offline promotions. EXTREME values our interns for their strong design sensibility and promotes their professional development during the term. Learn to meet daily, weekly, and long-term deadlines in a fast-paced environment:

  • Create graphics and design layouts for print ads, flyers, email newsletters, the EXTREME homepage, blog, and social media accounts

  • Collaborate with the marketing department and support campaigns with design solutions

  • Learn from professional designers, how to apply design theory to marketing campaigns and advance techniques FOR software including Adobe Illustrator to make pixel perfect illustrations.

Successful candidates will come to the role with a strong background in graphic arts:

  • Prior experience creating graphics and a solid grasp of design concepts

  • Comfort working in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator

  • Enthusiasm for the design process and attentiveness to different project goals
