London UK, 25 August 2011:Extreme Sports Channel is to premiere a series of travel-adventure special programmes featuring champion inline skater Taïg Khris. The six, one hour specials are an Extreme Sports Channel and Puzzle Media co-production.
Taïg Khris is an extreme sports superstar who made headlines around the world last year when he attempted the highest ever jump in inline skates off the Eiffel Tower. In Taïg Khris: Extreme Adventure he visits exotic locations around the world, immersing himself in local culture and relying on his athletic skills to explore each area. Never fazed, Taïg uses his expertise to overcome barriers and tests his strength and endurance to the limit.
The specials will transmit across all four of Extreme Sports Channel's feeds (UK, France, Poland and EMEA) later this year. Taïg's first destination is French Guiana where he encounters a variety of terrain; from marshlands to dense and humid tropical forest, and where he braves dangerous rapids on a small flat bottomed boat called a pirogue. For his second outing he travels to Senegal and takes part in a traditional Senegalese wrestling match, which combines dance, music and magic. The third episode will take the intrepid host towards the landscapes of Uruguay; the land of cattle breeding, where he will immerse himself in life on an estancia (similar to a ranch) and learn to ride a horse to become a working gaucho (local cowboy).
